PRESTWICH DEEP VEE and SPORTS BOATS

APACHE CIGARETTE 57. Scale model of the fullsize racing Offshore powerboat CIGARETTE Deep Vee. 56" (1420mm) long x 15.5" (390mm) wide. This is a big boat that can be powered by 15cc glow (nitro) engines or 22 to 26cc Petrol (gas) engines. This boat can be used in the roughest water conditions but will be very fast on calm water too. Normally uses a flexi shaft/surface drive for scale appearance and high speed.

AT THE FIRST 2004 MAJOR RACE MEETING THAT WAS COMPLETED IN THE UK, the Tornado4 with Prestwich pipe and 2227 Mocom propeller won by 7 laps!  At the first 2004 International in Haarlem Holland the Tornado 4  had the fastest lap-times in 15cc by almost 1 second per lap !  At the last UK race before the World Champs the Tornado EVO4 won by 12 laps ! At the World Championships in Velenje 2004 the Tornado 4 was the TOP QUALIFIER in 15cc.

The Tornado EVO4 is a new design 15cc FSRV15 boat from Dave Marles. The hull has been redesigned to make it ride very light on the water for high speed and good stability and the shaft and rudder position changed to improve cornering speed.  To get the best stability, the hull rear is flattened from just in front of the propeller to enable a very shallow shaft angle to be achieved, the centre rail offset has been changed, and to improve the speed and stability the torque wedges are changed so that they do not touch the water until needed. Speed is faster through the corners due to an alteration to the front V of the hull and the changes to the chines.   The fuel tank sits lower in the Tornado EVO4 and the radio compartment is larger for ease of radio fitting. The deck has been redesigned to give low hull lift for good stability at full speed.

The new FSRV 7.5cc boat. This new boat is an improvement over the original World Championship winning FSRV7.5 Spyder with modifications which  improve stability especially with bigger propellers. The basic concept of the hull is similar to the Vortex but it is longer with tiny front chines added to keep the nose up in the turns for higher cornering speed. The right side chines are changed and the boat will run in a straight line without any left rudder which contributes to the higher top speed. Winner of the 2000 World FSRV7.5 championships, 2002 FSRV7.5cc World Championships and almost every International FSRV 7.5 race since then..

The latest FSRV3.5 boat from the designer of the last 2 World Championship winning FSRV3.5cc boats.  The version 2 is modified to the exact specification of Dave Marles Lightning that he has developed  over the last 3 years.  Modifications have been made to the rear chines and wedges and to the anti-torque angles of the hull. This is the fastest most stable 3.5cc FSRV boat around. Very easy to build and drive, this is 'state of the art'. Designed for geared 3.5cc (.21) engines and submerged drive. This boat can be used with CMB21 Valvola and gearbox or CMB21 LS or similar high powered .21 engine on a gearbox. Fastest 3.5 boat at every race entered in the past 3 years.
